New dates for the International Design Contest in 2021

Due to the current health situation (COVID-19), we at Andreu World have made the decision to postpone this edition of the International Design Contest until next year. You will be able to submit your projects until the new deadline, which will be 11/26/2021.

One of the International Design Contest’s characteristics is the presentation of the physical models that have to be assessed and examined by the jurors in person. For this reason, we believe that in order to guarantee and maintain the essence of the event that was to be held on December 10th, we must delay our engagement to next year.

In 2021, we will celebrate an even more special edition, focused on sustainable design and in collaboration with the World Design Organization (WDO). For this reason, as part of our commitment to the propagation of emerging talent, we are going to increase the amount and number of prizes, with the aim of providing greater motivation and career assistance to young designers. We will also continue to have a superior international jury to award the most environmentally friendly designs.

Since its inception in 2001, the Andreu World International Design Contest has become an international showcase to support and promote new promises of design. To date, more than 30,000 contestants from 124 countries on 5 continents and more than 200 international schools of design and architecture have participated.

In addition, the contest will have an extra incentive. For the 20/21 edition, we will increase the financial endowment and the number of prizes with a first prize of 6,000 euros and a second prize of 3,000 euros, in addition to three honorable mentions of 1,000 euros each.

All contestants who have already submitted their projects will be included in the 20/21 edition. Go ahead and present your sustainable design project. Remember that you can participate with more than one project, alone or in a group.
