A bad chair can ruin the best meal. Andreu World brought the idea of “Eat well seated”, to Frame Lab an event that brought together the 21 and 22 February in Amsterdam designers from across the globe for sharing their insights to the future of work and living spaces.
As part of the "Wellness" area, Andreu World will display an innovative space that reflects on the marrying of gastronomy with good design. For this purpose, a dynamic environment has been created, equipped with Patricia Urquiola's Nuez chairs and a Reverse Conference table. A space to share and enjoy, which revolves around the book "Eat well seated", a unique trip to 25 restaurants from all over the world to very different places such as Berlin, Singapore, London, Madrid, Paris, New York or Bribane. All of them have one thing is common: in all of them you can eat well and sit on a chair manufactured by Andreu World, that manufacturers the chairs, seats, stools, and tables of many restaurants that have been designed by professionals who know the importance of eating well seated.
This story is completed with interviews with the opinions of renowned Michelin star chefs, such as Albert Raurich, Eneko Atxa, the Torres brothers, Paco Pérez and Bernd H. Knöller. Obviously, it is not an objective selection either, any seating manufacturer could make their own guide – but those of Andreu World are lucky to be at the tables of many good restaurants spread around the world, and, as it happens with good food, we want to share it in this big event.
In the space of Andreu World you can taste Spanish cava and wine from "Dominio de la Vega" that will complement the pairing experience between design and gastronomy. The impressive atmosphere of the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam, will host on 21 and 22 February 2018, Frame Lab, a comprehensive showcase of the latest works and ideas that address critical global issues – from climate change, to the growing digital presence in work and entertainment spaces, to shifting industry trends. Renowned brands will exhibit innovative new objects alongside designers including Zu Studio, The New Raw, Wellsun and Aectual – presenting everything from large-scale 3D printed floors to energy-neutral integrated technology. With a thought-provoking programme, an impressive guest list, and inspiring talks, panel discussions and workshops by industry leaders, Frame Lab is an event not to be missed this year.
