From May 21st to 23rd, the London showroom will be filled with new experiences and design. To celebrate Clerkenwell Design Week, Andreu World will showcase its 2019 collections of versatile designs that combine innovation, ergonomics, and technical mastery for indoor and outdoor environments.
From height-adjustable stools to multi-purpose seats that play with textures, materials, and colors or modular sofas that grow and take new curved shapes capable of furnishing any interior or exterior space, with versatile seats and tables that offer continuity in space.
The showroom will be open every day at 9 am, allowing visitors to personally meet the new creations from designers such as Patricia Urquiola, Benjamin Hubert, Alfredo Häberli, Piergiorgio Cazzaniga and PearsonLloyd, among others.
In addition to the new collections, the showroom will host a distinct event on each day of the festival: 2020 Frame Awards Launch Party, Designer Talk with Benjamin Hubert and the presentation of the book Eat Well Seated.
On Tuesday, May 21st at 6:30 pm, the presentation of the 2020 Frame Awards will be held by the founder of Frame, Robert Thiemann. These awards recognize the best interior spaces and professionals who have created them and have been selected by an internationally renowned jury.
On Wednesday, May 22nd at 5:30 pm, Designer Talk with Benjamin Hubert will take place. With the title, “Why are stools absent from the history of the chair?”, the designer of Layer will present Hula, a contemporary rotating stool that consists of a series of rotating elements. Its design will give way to a short conversation about why stools are not among the most iconic seating typologies in design history.
To close out the festival, on Thursday, May 23rd at 12:30 pm the book Eat Well Seated will be presented, published by Planet Gastro, which combines gastronomy with good design and includes fifty beautiful examples from around the world and the opinions of a good number of great chefs.
During CDW, don’t forget to take a selfie in our London showroom, alone or with others, and use the hashtag #CDW2019AndreuWorld to have the opportunity to win a Nuez chair designed by Patricia Urquiola.
