Andreu World, international leader in the manufacturing of contemporary designer furniture and number one in the exportation of seats and tables, has completed the expansion and renovation of its New York showroom in September. It is located in the New York Design Center, at 200 Lexington Avenue, one of the city’s main arteries, the building is one of the nerve centers and serves as a meeting point for professionals from the Big Apple.
The space, with a 5,000 square foot of exhibition area, showcases iconic and contemporary pieces created in collaboration with renowned international designers.
In essence, the new showroom conveys the passion for design, love of detail as well as craftsmanship and technical mastery that define the brand, which celebrates its 65th anniversary this year.
The interior architecture of the new Andreu World space has concentrated on generating a living and fluid space, using natural wood as a language and common link - which is in the firm's genes since its origins - and transforms into an architectural space where new indoor and outdoor furniture collections are presented for different uses: office, corporate, restaurants and hotels, educational, outdoor or terrace areas and home, among others.
The lighting, perfectly balanced, allows you to appreciate the designs in a warm and natural way. The shelving and “props” in general are custom made and are used to decorate, divide and organize the different furniture typologies: stools, chairs, armchairs, lounge chairs combined with different finishes and upholstery.
Each scene is reinforced with large-scale images of projects where the furniture collections are installed, and that facilitate the visitor experience, while each piece has been carefully selected to show our designs in real applications.
In addition to being a workspace for interior design, furniture and decoration professionals, the new showroom offers a selection of innovative finishes, textures, colors, fabrics and innovative materials to be able to work on projects globally. “Our goal is it to be a meeting point for architects, interior designers and design lovers in a new space for exhibition, work and inspiration in the heart of New York.”
The New York showroom is one of the brand’s permanent showrooms in North America along with Chicago, Boston, San Francisco, Washington, Denver and Toronto, in addition to the showrooms that the designer furniture company has in London, Madrid, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Moscow, Pune, Bangalore, New Delhi, Stockholm and Copenhagen and Sydney, Toronto and Vancouver in-store spaces.
Its opening has been done with the focus put on health, guaranteeing safety, cleaning and disinfection in addition to having adequate signage for the spaces and creation of different routes to maintain and preserve physical distance.
