Meet the Jury: Belén Moneo

We present Belén Moneo, who will be part of our jury of the Andreu World Design Contest. From the study of international architecture Moneo Brock she developes projects in Spain, USA; Mexico and Repulica Domincana. Her work has been widely recognized, always from the careful detail and the natural and urban environment. In addition, Belén has developed her career as a teacher at the Technical School of Architecture of Madrid and participates in international forums related to architecture and design.

International Design Contest: New materials

In its challenge to introduce new materials and promote an innovative, sustainable and versatile design, the nineteenth edition of the contest is a special collaboration with the Danish textile house Kvadrat. This year, designers are asked to use their upholstery catalog in their presentations. Proposals can include a variety of seats, from chairs and armchairs to stools, benches and sofas. Discover the new "Dado" with curves

A “Dado”with curves? This yearyou will discover the extraordinary evolution of Dado. This system of sofas -created by Alfredo Häberli- conceived from modularity and an eye for detail, has grown. The geometry of the new components extends the possibilities of configuration: back to back, curved compositions; islands of seats for large public spaces or long lines capable of organizing the circulation of people and offering a moment of rest.

Sheila Loewe will participate as a member of the jury of the 2019 International Design Contest. She is currently President of the Loewe Foundation, from where she promotes creativity, educational programs and the safeguarding of heritage in the areas of poetry, dance, photography, and artistic craftsmanship.
