BarKas is the private, corporate restaurant at the headquarters of Kaspersky Laboratory — one of the largest firms in the field of information security — in Moscow, Russia. (The name Kas is short for Kaspersky, the founder of the company.)
The story of this restaurant project is amazing. Near the end of the construction of the headquarters, already equipped with large amenities areas such as rest areas, gymnasium, well-equipped underground parking for cars, electric vehicles and bicycles, meeting rooms, etc., it was determined that the development was lacking a dining room.
They did not think twice and decided to open a new restaurant. The branding experts at Province Design Studio created a gastronomic-IT image for the restaurant. The concept is based on pixel-art style, which references the golden age of computer consoles and 8-bit games.
To furnish the space and create the canteen atmosphere, Carola chairs with black lacquered wood were chosen that provide elegance and warmth. In addition, a restaurant feel is added to with Smile stools, also in a basic black tone, giving rhythm and movement to the bar area.
Finally, the lounge spaces have been outfitted with Mandred sofas in grey tones which blend perfectly with the canteen atmosphere.
