We have the winners of 2016! The jury has chosen the best seating and table projects. The jury - composed of Mariela Buendía, Director of Design at Gensler Mexico, the architect Fran Silvestre; Michelin star chef Ricard Camarena; journalist of Fuera de Serie magazine Ana Ramirez and designer Jasper Morrison - evaluated the 200 projects submitted and after much deliberation selected the best projects. Each proposal was assessed on its design, presentation, and innovation and after careful consideration two winners and four honorable mentions were awarded.
The first prize was given to the table project created by Rameshwor Pons of Mataró (Barcelona, Spain)and the second prize went to the Makila table project by Alcides Farje of Donostia (Guipuzcoa, Spain) (Zaporizhia-Ucrania).
This year’s competition saw over 200 projects submitted all with high artistic quality from contestants and schools from France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, United Kingdom, Mexico, Japan, Thailand, Russia, Peru, Colombia, Ukraine, Spain and even a total of 35 different nationalities.
