Until May 2 the Design Center Matadero de Madrid will host the exhibition España Diseña: 25 editions of the National Design Awards. As an award-winning company, Andreu World is present in this exhibition through some of its most iconic collections such as Ronda -design by Lievore Altherr Molina- or Nub -created by Patricia Urquiola.
Andreu World received the National Design Award in 2007 coinciding with the fifty years of business history. Along with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the birth of Andreu World, this award marked a turning point in the history of the brand, as a benchmark for national and international design.
The National Design Awards are the highest award given in Spain in recognition of companies and professionals who have stood out for their excellent and exemplary career in the field of design.
This exhibition is the result of the collaboration and contribution of hundreds of professionals and companies with the sole purpose of transmitting to society the relevance and impact of design in our country, and its important contribution to the process of innovation and progress and social and economic transformation of Spain in the last decades.
España Diseña is curated by the industrial designer Marcelo Leslabay and organized by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness with the collaboration of the Barcelona Design Center (BCD), the Madrid Designers Association and Foundation (DIMAD) and the Spanish Network of Associations of Design (READ).
