Andreu World participated in the Tokyo Designer’s Week, an international event held between 29 October and 3 November in different design-related locations and areas popular with local designers in the Japanese capital.
Within this context, the Spanish embassy in Tokyo was the setting for the presentation of the new “Woody collection”. Andreu World exhibited its seat and chair versions, which were first presented at Milan's Salone Internacionale del Mobile.
Both pieces received a highly-positive reception by designers and the public alike, who highlighted the ironic character and the purity of the forms of this new oak seating collection.
The Woody collection was accompanied by a selection of products and companies representing the very best “made in Spain” design, which in turn were included in the “Made in Japain” exhibition commissioned by ICEX and the Valencian design team Cul de Sac.
In addition to hosting the “made in Japain” exhibition, the Spanish embassy was the setting for a range of activities, conferences and workshops related to design, comics and animation and which attracted more than 3000 visitors.
